Our mission is to empower driven and passionate juniors who show a love for the game through the awarding of a scholarship.
The Why

Get to Know Me
My name is Anthony Anselmo, PDGA #56579. I have been playing disc golf since I was five years old and began competing when I was six. Disc golf quickly became a fun way to get outside and exercise. It eventually turned into a competitive outlet that provided the opportunity to travel around the region to tournaments with my parents. I'm grateful for the many disc golf trips we've been on as I've grown up. I am now a student at UNC Chapel Hill and still play as much as possible. Disc golf has played a large role in who I am, and I believe it will do the same for the next generation of disc golfers, which is why I have started this scholarship.
I was fortunate enough to play Junior Worlds from 2015-2019. It was always the tournament I looked forward to the most each year. It is hard to forget the excitement I felt each year anticipating things like the field events, picking up my players pack, the players meeting, and the event itself. Being able to compete and connect with people from around the country and world was truly a special opportunity, and one that every junior disc golfer should be able to have. My goal is to help provide this experience to a junior disc golfer through this scholarship.

Who is Eligible?
1. Must be a resident of North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Georgia.
I want to give back to the region that is responsible for the majority of the tournaments I played when growing up.
2. Must receive an invite to the 2026 Junior Disc Golf World Championships.
An invite is the first step to registration!
3. Must be eligible to compete in Junior Worlds.

Application Process
Athletes will fill out an application, which will be used to determine the winner of the scholarship. Skill level will play no role in determining the winner. The main component of the application will entail responding to questions in a video format. The application will be open to all eligible athletes starting on April 1st and will be open through May 15th. A recipient will be determined by early June.
